II - Jet Inkjet Printer
EVOLUTION
II is a full featured high resolution Inkjet printer utilizing Hewlett
Packard Inkjet technology. It will look identical to the EVOLUTION I,
but will feature a WYSIWYG back lighted LCD on the controller. A
complete software package including message storage, time, date and
sequential numbering and more will be standard on the system.
Bar
coding capabilities will also be built into the system. The user will
access a drop down menu; select the bar code symbiology desired and
then enter the bar code number with the keypad. EVOLUTION II will
support a wide variety of barcodes including sequential and 2D codes.
Complete System: EVOLUTION is complete and ready to install right out
of the box. The system includes the mounting bracketry, a hand held
controller with tactile style keypad for message entry and the
printhead module with internal product sensor.
Inkjet
Technology by Hewlett Packard:
Based on the proven Hewlett Packard thermal Inkjet printhead, EVOLUTION
delivers bold, fully formed characters from the first print to the
last.
Optimum
Print Resolution:
EVOLUTION gives you a full 300 DPI at production line speeds of up to
200 feet per minute.
Variable
Character Heights: Two character heights are supplied as
standard on EVOLUTION. Print a one line message in 1/2" characters, or
two lines of 7/32". Selecting the character size is accomplished
through the font key on the hand held controller.
Ink Supply: Built into the printhead is a 42cc ink reservoir. Once the
ink in the cartridge has been depleted, it can be taken out, disposed
of and a new ink cartridge inserted in just seconds.

Add-On
Printheads: Adding another printhead is a simple as
sliding it on. Each printhead module is manufactured with a dovetail
slot on one side and a dovetail slide on the other. Up to three
additional printheads can be attached on a single bracket by inserting
the slide on one into the slot on the other. A small RS485 data cable
is then used to connect the modules. This allows the hand held
controller to network all of the printheads on the production line.
Customized:
EVOLUTION can be easily customized to fit each individual users
requirements. Font styles, character heights (different than the
standard 1/2", 7/32", 1/8", 3/32"), and logos can be supplied and
easily added with optional data flash cards. Additional software is not
required with EVOLUTION I I because all of the optional software
packages available in EVOLUTION I are already built in.
Fully
Compatible:
The controller used for EVOLUTION I I is fully compatible with both
EVOLUTION I and EVOLUTION Small Character Printer. This means that one
single controller can be used to communicate with all of the EVOLUTION
printers being used.
Net
Working Capabilities:
The hand held controller is capable of controlling up to 32 individual
printhead modules through the use of a RS 485 data cable. A small data
cable is used to connect the printhead on the same production line,
while a longer cable connects them to the printers on the next
production line in the manufacturing area. Complete PC control of the
EVOLUTION network can be accomplished with our optional EVOLUTION-NET
software.
One
Year Warranty:
A One Year Warranty is standard on EVOLUTION and covers any defect in
material or workmanship from date of shipment.
